Hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg ignited a frenzy in the NFT space with the lightning-fast sellout of his nearly 1 million-piece digital collectibles drop on Telegram. The collection, featuring marijuana-themed assets, anthropomorphic beagles, and vintage cars, generated $12 million in sales within half an hour.

Telegram's Collectible Gifts platform hosted the drop, allowing users to display NFTs on profiles with transfer and secondary market capabilities. Founder Pavel Durov confirmed blockchain minting will commence in 21 days, predicting chaotic trading activity.
